The Water Park event at Fun & Splash Water Park in Debe was just superb! The children said it was the happiest day of their lives .They were all excited about it . Many children woke up from 4 am in excitement to start packing for the day .
The Gift For Life Foundation escorted the Homes to the Debe Water Park .They reached the Water Park at 8 am and were all excited to jump in the water immediately!They did not care about having any snacks or drinks as yet – they quickly prayed to begin the day and headed straight to the change rooms to get into their swim clothes .Led by an life guards , their care givers and the members of the Gift For Life Foundation , they went straight to the water .
The weather was just perfect .The sun was very hot and they really had a ball of time playing water games , dancing , skating, diving , etc in the water .

Many other members from Gift For Life Foundation were busy at their tent frying pholourie and saheenas for the children. As the children took a break at 10 am from the water , snack plates with hot, hot pholourie, saheenas & chutney awaited them with drinks of their choice.They also had slush etc .

Many of the children were eager to learn to make saheena and pholourie , so were taught how to prepare the same .
They had a sumptuous lunch with drinks & dessert at 1130 am .
They left the Water Park at 2 pm .
Besides being a day full of fun and laughter , a greater percentage of the children were able to achieve the following objectives:
- enhance their social interaction skills
- increase their level of self confidence
- learn to fry pholourie & saheena
The following Children’s Homes made it to the Water Park event :
- The Christ Child’s Convalescent Home , Diego Martin
- The RainBow Rescue Home , Belmont
- The Ezekiel Home , Preysal
The children at the Penal Children’s Home & the Dar – ul – Aman Home unfortunately missed out on the event since many were just recovering from the virus.
