Feedback on Mother’s Day Event

Yesterday’s program was a grand success .The weather was just perfect which enabled the children to have lots of fun .

The day started at  9:30 am when the Kisto Home from Malabar arrived .They waited for the children of St Dominic’s Home , Angels on Earth Foundation and the Dar -ul-Aman who reached shortly .

It was a day of laughter , learning , fun ,food,snacks ,entertainment and gifts for the children.The children played and danced in the pool as the DJ entertained with  music of each’s child’s choice.

They were  made to feel at home  to  relax for the  day. They were served with  many goodies including apples , snacks, chocolates , pholourie ,saheena , icecream , cakes, a hearty lunch , cotton candies, drinks , water etc .

They were attended to by Dental Surgeon , Dr Rishad Seecheran and assistants who also so kindly came  and spoke to the children about proper Dental care and assessed their teeth .

A fluoride treatment  was done on each child and they were given  gifts of  proper  toothbrushes ,pencils etc.

They rushed back to the pool afterwards accompanied by a very responsible team of lifeguards.The little ones were taken in the jucuzzi .They all were having the time of their lives …bathing running out for eats , to take turns at turning the icecream pail and to play in the play house.

Some children said , ” could that  container of milk ever  become icecream ?We  want to see that .”

Some children picked up the challenge to keep close to the icecream pail to turn and be the ones to turn the coconut liquid into icecream. They were having a ball of a time around the pail.

There was more excitement and joy when the icecream was made. Each child was given the privilege to decorate his /her own cone /cup of icecream with cherries and chocolates.

There was a puppet show at 3 pm which had the children and even the adults rolling with laughter .They also danced  and sang with the puppets.

The children left at about 5 :45 pm asking when next they will be treated with so much love and kindness.Some even asked why more people in the the country do not treat them so special  and also share their beautiful homes with them.Many even said that it was the  happiest day of their lives.
