Christmas: that’s reason enough for children to be excited, despite the pandemic. As soon as the pandemic hit, it changed the definition of ‘normal’ for everyone.
In the new normal, Christmas 2021, with children from children’s homes and rural communities, was celebrated with safety and precaution as the first and foremost priority. Christmas has always been a time of cheer and merriment, and GFLF did not dampen the festive spirit thinking about Covid – 19.
Instead the foundation prepared itself to welcome the season of joy in the most cheerful manner. From Christmas morning to 30th December, members were busy heading towards the various children’s homes and families across all corners of Trinidad.
Members and recipients of Christmas cakes, toys and presents were reminded to wear masks, and wash and sanitize hands frequently and, most importantly, the meeting point was done in spacious and open areas within the twenty children’s homes and families across eight (8) rural communities.
Memorable photos were taken and in maintaining the social distancing protocols, only one GFLF member and administrative staff were allowed in the pics.
GFLF will continue to support children and needy families and still needs your support especially in 2022.
