Gift for Life Foundation celebrates Father’s Day with Children from different Children’s Homes
After more than five years, Gift for Life Foundation (GFLF) continues to make an incredible impact on the lives of children who are placed in children’s homes. Without the hard work and tremendous sacrifices of members of GFLF, many of our nation’s children would be forgotten during the holidays and on special occasions. On Sunday 15th June 2014, GFLF members successfully materialized the dreams of our nation’s children through the kindness of citizens. These children have no fathers, yet they live in a society where a lot of emphasis is placed on the role of the father figure. Sometimes, they question- “where is my daddy, why don’t I have a daddy?” – said Miss Ragoonanan.
Despite the hard work involved in the proper planning, implementation and execution of the Father’s Day celebration in Trincity Mall, the children left the mall feeling accomplished and fulfilled. All the children watched the 3D movie- ‘How to train a dragon’, enjoyed meals, desserts and snacks in the food court thereafter. The final segment of the event ended with the children playing and winning prizes in Galactica.
The members of Gift for Life Foundation wishes to thank members of the business community for making this project a tremendous success. Our upcoming events will be with the Educational Trip to Tobago on Tuesday 22nd July 2014 and Grand Family and Sports Day 2014 on Sunday 24thAugust 2014 at the Pierre Road Recreational Grounds, Charlieville.
