Gift For Life Foundation provides educational experiences to over 200 children in Tobago.
Gift for Life Foundations (GFLF) continues to materialize the dreams of children who live within children’s homes. The children waited in anticipation and excitement for the annual trip to Tobago which took place on Tuesday 22nd July 2014. The children were selected from the following homes:
- Angel Michael Hostel for Boys & Girls, Egypt Trace Ext, Enterprise
- Florence Wesleyan Foundation Children’s Home, Chickland
- Angels on Earth Foundation, Lange Park
- Ezekiel Children’s Home, Preysal
- Margaret Kistow Children’s Home, Malabar
- Raffa Boys Children’s Home, Mt. Lambert
- Raffa Girls Children’s Home, Orange Grove
- Casa de Corazon Children’s Home, Sangre Grande
- Fireburn Community Children, Freeport
- Claxton Bay Community Children
This trip to Tobago gave children the educational experiences away from their regular school environment. Learning about their environment, the coral reefs and the need to live in a clean earth were some of the learning outcomes. The children were able to learn in a more hands-on and interactive manner than they did at school. This Tobago outing gave children a welcomed break in routine. Children looked forward to and prepared for the Annual Tobago Trip for several days and weeks. They were able to spend the day in a different learning environment and will now be better able to complete a lesson on the topic covered after the trip is over. “Learning in assorted ways can appeal to varied learning styles, helping children to succeed whether they are visual, auditory or kinetic learners” said Maneeka Gokool.
Members are proud to be the instruments to measure the growth and development of children. Next upcoming event is:

In addition to the numerous events that Gift for Life Foundation does, the foundation is also raising funds to construct a tuition centre to assist in the academic needs of underprivileged children throughout the 54 children’s homes and children among poor communities. Gift For Life Foundation goes a long way in giving love to children. We need your kind assistance to bring more joy in the hearts of the needy children in our country and to help them discover and build on their dreams for a bright future.
